We are familiar with the term ‘coaching’ from the world of sports. The coach not only helps their protege improve their athletic performance but also provides personal support – assistance for self-help. The same applies to coaching for executives and entrepreneurs. The coach guides in an individualized manner based on the situation and personality of the coachee, acting as a neutral feedback provider. In coaching, there are no direct or pre-packaged solutions; the coachee develops their own solutions. Coaching serves not only to address surface symptoms but also to identify and resolve the underlying causes or behavioral patterns leading to the problem. Coaching can be understood as guidance not counseling.

Systemic work is based on two premises:

  1. Everything is interconnected and seeks coherence – this applies to both our life domains and our behaviors and thoughts.
  2. If you recognize a problem, you already know the solution – I assist in seeing the solution.

Building on these premises, systemic work never considers a question in isolation but always within the overall context. Any change in a system, whether it be structures, acting individuals, behaviors, etc., leads to changes in the overall system. Examining these changes is an essential aspect of systemic coaching.

The methodology of Schema Coaching is relatively new. It is a highly effective process that elaborates and explains human behaviors in a vivid and easily understandable way. It appreciates the benefits of certain behaviors but also demonstrates that certain long-term learned and exhibited behaviors may have disadvantages in some situations. Since these are autopilot behaviors, mere cognitive understanding is not sufficient to change them. The Schema Coach assists with questions and approaches to alter automatic behaviors and develop new action alternatives that lead to more joy, happiness, and success, both professionally and personally. If you find yourself asking questions like, ‘Why does this keep happening to me?’ or ‘Why do I automatically react to certain situations in the same way, even though it’s not helpful,’ then Schema Coaching will be very beneficial for you.

  • The coach is a discrete advisor and is not subject to third-party interests.
  • They are not a therapist but provide reasoned and unfiltered feedback that may be hard to accept from colleagues, employees, or friends.
  • The coach does not take on tasks or responsibilities for the coachee.
  • They recognize, activate, and expand the resources and abilities in the coachee necessary for achieving the coachee’s goals.
  • The coaching content is tailored to the individual needs of the client.
  • The focus is on interactive collaboration on equal footing and an eye-to-eye level.
  • The coach serves as a catalyst for new perspectives and offers assistance for self-help.
  • Willingness to critically question one’s own ideas & perspectives
  • Curiosity for an objective examination of one’s own person and situation
  • Acknowledge problems and taking responsibility for them

The clear formulation of goals is a focal point at the beginning of the coaching process and in each coaching session. Sometimes, the coachee’s concerns may be unclear (leadership issues, diminishing motivation, stress, lack of overview, conflicts, etc.) and need to be identified together. We take a thorough and precise approach, especially when it comes to defining goals. Both the coach and the coachee are well advised to take enough time to clarify the goals, as a precisely formulated goal often already contains potential solutions.

The coaching can be commissioned by a company or, of course, by an individual. The number of people seeking coaching, life guidance, or a neutral conversation partner independently of their employer is steadily increasing. They seek someone who can provide new perspectives for their professional and personal journey. Sometimes, the goal is to navigate a separation from the current employer and find the best path forward. I can speak from personal experience and provide guidance in such situations.

As is customary in coaching and consultations, you pay the fee for the agreed-upon services before the first session or before workshops or consulting days. This takes care of the financial aspects, allowing us to focus on the content of our work.

Travel expenses, rental costs, or similar items will be invoiced separately based on the actual expenses.

For many years I communicated in international companies almost exclusively in the business language (English). Studying in the USA was a language boost. I am also happy to offer my coaching or consultations in English.
